The shm® has set itself the task of supplying hunters, private and commercial reloaders, as well as ammunition manufacturers with cartridge cases that are not or no longer available from established manufacturers.

To achieve this, we have built our own production facility, specifically designed for maximum flexibility and economically viable batch sizes.

By combining modern CNC technology with flexibly automated forming processes and high-precision measurement and testing systems, we ensure the highest level of quality – even in the field of specialized cartridge cases.
The result: reliable precision and short lead times – even for custom requirements.

Cartridge Case Manufacturing

We manufacture cartridge cases in accordance with CIP standards in our own production facility – with maximum precision and continuous quality control. All relevant CIP parameters are precisely measured and documented. In addition, our test cases are verified by the Munich Proof House.

SHM Selection Cartridge Cases

Our Selection Line stands for maximum accuracy. Each cartridge case is individually measured, selected, and refined – meeting the highest demands in precision and consistency.

Custom Cartridge Cases

Do you have specific requirements? We develop and manufacture custom cartridge cases for a wide range of applications – precisely tailored to your needs. We also reliably implement complex specifications, for example for proof houses or specialized testing procedures.

Custom Batch Production

Not every caliber is available off the shelf – but much more is possible. If you require specific configurations or rare calibers, feel free to contact us. We evaluate each request individually and develop a suitable solution.

ABOUT US

The idea for shm® – Süddeutsche Hülsenmanufaktur originated in 2010 at the Jagd & Hund in Dortmund.

The starting point was a specific problem: the limited availability of rare calibers. What initially seemed straightforward quickly evolved into a technical challenge.

This was followed by extensive analysis, market research, and development work – with the goal of establishing a production setup that addresses precisely where industrial mass production reaches its limits: small batch sizes, custom solutions, and highly specific requirements.

Following numerous iterations, material tests, and optimizations, a production system was established that combines precision, flexibility, and technical depth.

Today, we produce economically even at small batch sizes and continuously refine both our product range and our processes.

What began as an idea has evolved into a specialized solution for precisely those cases where standard solutions fall short.
